Meet Iyore Olaye 

Iyore N. Olaye is an engineer turned technology executive, investor, and world-renowned speaker. Honored by governments, organizations, and media globally, she brings 10+ years of strategy, execution, and leadership across product, technology, and business operations. With a focus on uniting the digital and physical worlds, Olaye is an expert in innovative development, profitability, asset management, commercialization, and scalability. Presently, she is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of the Covered By Group (CBG), a future technology innovation, investment, and advisory firm.

 

 

Olaye is a trailblazer whose extensive technical and organizational experiences span various corporate stages and industries, including emerging technology, chemicals, energy, financials, retail, food and beverage, health and beauty, and transportation. As an executive, she led product development and global expansion initiatives at the first and largest American sustainable transportation and micro-mobility company, Bird Rides Inc. At a time when sustainable mobility technology was nascent, Olaye was critical to the sector's success and the company's path to an IPO via a SPAC and served on the board nomination committee. Before this, she was a research and development executive in the CPG and supply chain industry at Andreessen Horowitz-led venture-backed Walker & Company Brands. In her time at the company, Olaye oversaw chemical production, connected device manufacturing, supply chain, & logistics processes, brand development, and P&L strategy. The first-of-their-kind brands and solutions were embraced by large retailers and consumers alike, leading to the company's merger with Procter and Gamble. Following her undergraduate and graduate studies, she worked as an engineer and innovation advisor for various companies, including Kraft Heinz Company. 

 

In addition to her operating roles, Ms. Olaye spent several years leading deal teams in venture capital; She served as a venture advisor at Alumni Ventures Group, a national multi-stage venture capital firm. Olaye later co-founded and served as Managing Director of an early-stage fund acquired by Susa Ventures, a top Silicon Valley multi-stage fund focused on investing in next-generation technology companies. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Cornell University of the Ivy League and CoRE certificate from Harvard Business School. 

 

Ms. Olaye is a world-renowned- speaker and advisor. She regularly participates in forums and conferences discussing major future technology, sustainability, emerging markets, data, corporate governance, and diplomacy topics. Olaye serves on several corporate boards, including a publicly traded Delta Airlines Advisory board, and is regularly consulted by private corporations, public entities, and global nonprofits alike. Olaye was named to two Forbes 30 under 30 lists and has been featured by many publications, including but not limited to CNN, Forbes Magazine, NY Times, and Vogue. She is an avid tennis player, philanthropist, dedicated patron of the arts, and collector.
